Asagba Of Asaba Set To Launch Free Ambulance Service For Residents
THE Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, has concluded plans to launch a free ambulance service for residents of Asaba Kingdom as part of efforts to strengthen emergency healthcare response within the community.
The initiative is scheduled to commence officially on 1st June 2026.
Initiative Targets Emergency Medical Response
According to the palace, the service is designed to provide immediate transportation and medical support for accident victims, pregnant women, elderly residents, and individuals facing urgent health emergencies.
The programme is expected to improve access to timely healthcare intervention, particularly for residents who may struggle to secure transportation during critical situations.
Monarch Emphasises Importance Of Prompt Care
Speaking on the initiative, the Asagba noted that quick medical attention remains one of the most effective ways to reduce preventable deaths and improve survival outcomes during emergencies.
He explained that the free ambulance service forms part of broader welfare and humanitarian programmes being promoted under his leadership.
