U-18 Volleyball: Nigeria Keep Perfect Run Alive, Reach African Final

NIGERIA’S boys have reached the final of the 2026 CAVB U-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt.
The young Nigerians booked their place with a commanding 3-0 victory over Cameroon in the semi-final.
Nigeria controlled the match from the start. The team won the three sets 25-16, 25-20 and 25-19.
The victory extended Nigeria’s unbeaten run to five matches. The team has dropped only one set throughout the tournament.
Nigeria opened its Group A campaign with a straight-sets win over Morocco. It then defeated hosts Egypt 3-1 before completing the group stage with a 3-0 victory over Burundi.
The result sent Nigeria to the top of its group.
The team maintained that momentum in the knockout stage. Nigeria swept Libya 3-0 in the quarter-final before producing another straight-sets victory against Cameroon.
Nigeria delivered a balanced performance in the semi-final. The players attacked with power and defended with discipline. They also controlled the net with effective blocking and kept Cameroon under pressure with consistent serves.
The young side now stands one victory away from the continental title.
Nigeria will enter the final with confidence as it seeks to complete an unbeaten campaign and claim the African crown.
