NIGERIA’S boys’ volleyball team made a brilliant start to the 2026 CAVB Boys U-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship with a dominant victory over Burundi in Alexandria, Egypt. The Nigerian side won the Pool A encounter 3-0 to signal their determination to compete for continental honours.

The team controlled the match from the opening serve. They combined powerful attacks with disciplined defending. Burundi struggled to cope with Nigeria’s pace and intensity throughout the contest.
