THE Delta State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects during a raid on a brothel in Abbi Community, Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area.
The suspects comprise three males and seven females. Police operatives arrested them on Friday during an operation by the command’s Anti-Cult Unit.
Police spokesperson Bright Edafe, a superintendent of police, disclosed this in a statement issued in Warri on Sunday.
According to Edafe, the operation followed credible intelligence about the whereabouts of a wanted suspect. The suspect allegedly committed arson in August.
The operatives, however, recovered suspected illicit drugs during the raid.
The items include Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud and weeds suspected to be marijuana.
Meanwhile, the police have begun profiling the 10 suspects. The exercise will determine their individual levels of involvement in the alleged offences.
Edafe said the command would prosecute suspects found culpable after the investigation.
The latest operation forms part of the police command’s efforts to track wanted persons and tackle criminal activities across Delta State.
For now, the command has not disclosed whether the wanted arson suspect was among those arrested. It also has not provided further details about the quantities of drugs recovered.
