Tinubu Sweeps Delta APC Presidential Primary With 407,646 Votes

Tinubu Emerges Winner in Delta APC Primary
BOLA Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election conducted across Delta State, securing 407,646 votes.
The result was announced in Asaba by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who served as the State Coordinator and Returning Officer for the exercise.
Voting Conducted Across 25 LGAs
According to Governor Oborevwori, the primary election was conducted across wards in all 25 local government areas of the state.
He disclosed that the APC recorded 467,815 registered members in Delta State, while 407,646 members were accredited and participated in the exercise.
Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Mr. Stanley Osifo, who polled no votes in the contest.
Official Declaration of Results
Declaring the outcome, Oborevwori said Tinubu had overwhelmingly won the presidential primary and was therefore returned as the party’s presidential candidate.
The declaration was witnessed by party stakeholders, security agencies, members of the press, agents of the contestants and the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sir Etekamba Udo Umoren.
Party Leaders Hail Peaceful Exercise
Governor Oborevwori commended party members for maintaining peace during the exercise, describing the process as orderly and successful.
Also speaking, Delta State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, praised members and stakeholders for the smooth conduct of the party primaries across the state.
He noted that the presidential primary marked the conclusion of the APC’s internal electoral process ahead of the next phase of political activities.
