E-Hailing, Shuttle Operators Face New Permit Talks In Delta

THE Delta State Government has summoned operators of e-hailing, private cab and shuttle services to a meeting on the issuance of operating permits.
The meeting will hold on Wednesday 30 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
It will take place at the Ground Floor, Cluster D Hall, Professor Chike Edozien Secretariat, Asaba.
According to a special announcement by the state government, the meeting will focus on issues surrounding operating permits for the affected transport services.
Operators of e-hailing services, private cab services, airport shuttle services and VIP shuttle services are expected to attend.
The government urged all concerned operators to arrive promptly for the meeting.
During the engagement, officials are expected to discuss the requirements for obtaining the relevant permits.
The session will also provide an opportunity for operators to seek clarification on the application process and other issues connected with their operations.
Meanwhile, the government advised all affected transport operators to take note of the meeting details.
Consequently, they are expected to attend at the stated time and venue as the state moves to address regulatory issues within the growing transport sector.
