He noted that the smooth operation of the legislature over the years was made possible through collaboration between elected lawmakers and career legislative personnel.
According to him, the support provided by Assembly staff has played a significant role in ensuring effective lawmaking and institutional stability.
Thanksgiving Service Highlights Faith and Reflection
The anniversary celebration featured prayers, worship sessions, Bible readings and reflections on the Assembly’s three-year journey.
Delivering a sermon titled “The Power of Gratitude,” Rev. Fr. Bob Etta emphasized the importance of thanksgiving as a demonstration of faith and recognition of God’s guidance.
He encouraged public officials and citizens alike to cultivate gratitude regardless of prevailing circumstances, noting that thanksgiving strengthens faith and fosters resilience.

Also speaking during the event, Hon. Martins Achadu, who represents Yala II State Constituency and serves as Pastor of the Assembly Chapel, described the thanksgiving service as an opportunity for lawmakers to rededicate themselves to public service.
He said the celebration allowed members to reflect on the progress made so far while renewing their commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to them by the people of Cross River State.
