Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire Service Applicants Set For Physical Screening

Successful Candidates Directed to Check Recruitment Status
THE Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, directing applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to verify their application status ahead of physical screening and document verification.
The Board disclosed this in a statement issued by its Secretariat on Saturday, June 13, and signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril.
According to the statement, the next stage of the recruitment exercise will focus on the physical screening of candidates and verification of submitted credentials.
Portal Opens for Status Verification
CDCFIB explained that applicants who sat for the online CBT conducted in November 2025 are expected to visit the official recruitment portal between Monday 15 June and Friday 20 June 2026, to check whether they have been shortlisted for the screening stage.
The Board advised candidates to log into the recruitment platform using the application number generated during the initial registration process.
Successful applicants are expected to proceed with uploading the required credentials and selecting their preferred screening date and venue through the portal.
The Board stressed that strict adherence to instructions provided on the recruitment platform is mandatory, warning that failure to comply could result in disqualification from the exercise.
Board Warns Against Recruitment Fraud
While announcing the screening process, CDCFIB reiterated that the recruitment exercise remains entirely free of charge.
The Board cautioned applicants against making payments to any individual, group, or organisation claiming to influence shortlisting, screening schedules, document verification, or final selection.
It warned that fraudsters often exploit recruitment exercises to deceive job seekers and urged candidates to remain vigilant.
Commitment to Transparent Recruitment
CDCFIB further advised applicants and members of the public to disregard unofficial recruitment messages, fake websites, and unauthorized persons falsely presenting themselves as representatives of the Board.
According to the statement, all information concerning the recruitment process will be communicated solely through approved official channels and the designated recruitment portal.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible, and merit-driven recruitment process in line with established guidelines governing the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services.
