Warri Correspondents Chapel Celebrates Former Chairman Victor Okpomor On Birthday
THE Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated its immediate past Chairman, Mr. Victor Okpomor, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a visionary leader and an outstanding professional whose contributions have continued to strengthen journalism practice in Delta State.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chapel Chairman, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, the chapel expressed gratitude to God for granting Okpomor another year of life, good health and accomplishments.
The chapel said the celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on Okpomor’s exemplary leadership and enduring contributions to the growth and unity of the media community in Delta State.
Describing the former chairman as a bridge-builder, institutional reformer and committed media professional, the statement noted that his administrative achievements continue to serve as a reference point for the chapel’s pursuit of professionalism, unity and relevance.
The chapel commended Okpomor for his selfless service, landmark institutional reforms and unwavering commitment to advancing journalism and protecting the interests of media practitioners.
According to the statement, his tenure was characterised by integrity, resourcefulness and a strong commitment to the welfare of members.
“Your leadership left an enduring legacy for media unity and institutional development. During your tenure, the chapel strengthened strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, security agencies and other critical institutions, thereby enhancing its credibility and influence,” the statement said.
The chapel prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the former chairman, asking for good health, divine wisdom, favour and many more years of impactful service.
“As you celebrate another milestone, we pray that Almighty God continues to enlarge your coast, grant you greater accomplishments, lasting peace, professional fulfilment and divine protection. May the years ahead be filled with joy, good health and enduring success,” the statement added.
