Police Reshuffle: Samuel Erale Takes Over As Delta CP

THE Police Service Commission has approved a fresh deployment of Commissioners of Police to state commands and strategic formations across Nigeria.
Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu implemented the postings as part of efforts to strengthen policing nationwide.
The latest exercise brings CP Samuel Erale to Delta State as the new Commissioner of Police.
The redeployment also sends CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo to Abia, CP Ayodeji Faniyan to Plateau, CP Saka Adewale Ajao to Bayelsa, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to Cross River, CP Nnanna Oji Ama to Anambra, CP Patrick Daaor to Edo and CP Tijani Murtala to Jigawa.
Several other commissioners have been reassigned to specialised formations, including the Force Intelligence Department, the Force Criminal Investigation Department, the Department of Finance and Administration, the Counter Terrorism Unit and the Police Academy.
The appointments also affect officers responsible for training, anti-human trafficking, anti-fraud operations, welfare, investigations and administration.
Police authorities said the reshuffle aims to strengthen command structures and improve operational effectiveness across the country.
The Inspector-General called on the newly deployed officers to provide strong leadership and support intelligence-driven policing.
He urged them to deepen public trust through professionalism, accountability and closer engagement with communities.
He also reminded them of their responsibility to protect lives and property while maintaining the highest standards of discipline and service.
The redeployment represents another step in the Force’s ongoing reform agenda aimed at improving security operations and enhancing policing across Nigeria.
