Oyedepo @72: Oborevwori Salutes Bishop’s Impact On Faith, Youths

A Legacy Beyond the Pulpit
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 72nd birthday.
Oborevwori described Oyedepo’s contributions to Christianity, education and nation-building as enduring, saying his decades of service had influenced millions of people in Nigeria and beyond.
The governor conveyed the message in a goodwill statement issued on Sunday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.
Oborevwori described the cleric as a “rare gift to Christendom”, adding that his teachings, mentorship and commitment to Christian ministry had helped shape generations of believers.
Impact on Education
Beyond his role in Christian ministry, the governor highlighted Oyedepo’s contributions to education through the establishment of Covenant University and Landmark University.
According to Oborevwori, the two institutions have become important centres of academic excellence, character development and youth empowerment.
He said the universities reflected the bishop’s broader commitment to developing young people and contributing to the nation beyond the pulpit.
“Bishop Oyedepo is not only a father in the faith but also a role model whose life of service, integrity and visionary leadership continues to inspire millions, including me,” the governor said.
A Life of Service
Oborevwori, on behalf of his family, the Delta State Government and the people of the state, congratulated Oyedepo on what he described as 72 remarkable years devoted to God and humanity.
He commended the bishop’s commitment to spiritual guidance, nation-building and youth empowerment through quality education.
“Your commitment to nation-building, spiritual guidance and the empowerment of youths through quality education is truly commendable,” Oborevwori said.
The governor added that the state remained proud of Oyedepo’s accomplishments and grateful for the influence he had exerted on countless lives.
Prayers for Continued Service
As Oyedepo marks the milestone, Oborevwori prayed for continued strength, sound health and divine grace for the bishop.
He also wished him many more years of impactful service to the Church and humanity.
