Grassroots Platform Targets Support for Governor, Tinubu
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has inaugurated the New Dynamic Forum (NDF), a political platform aimed at mobilising grassroots support for his re-election bid and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration took place at the Open Mobile Camp Field, Ovwian-Aladja Police Station, off Egini Drive.
The governor was represented at the event by his Senior Policy Adviser and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon.
Forum Must Drive Real Political Engagement
Speaking through his representative, Oborevwori described the forum as a strategic initiative designed to deepen grassroots mobilisation and consolidate the gains of governance in Delta State.
He commended the convener, Mr. S.K. Palama, for creating the platform, noting that it reflected the importance of organised political participation at community level.
The governor said the group must move beyond ceremonial gatherings and become an active channel for sensitisation, mobilisation and communication of government achievements.
Call for Unity Ahead of 2027
Oborevwori urged members to build structures across wards in the state, with strong attention on youth and women participation.
He stressed the need for unity, discipline and focus as the 2027 elections draw closer.
According to him, Delta State remains aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration and continuity in leadership is necessary to sustain development.
He formally declared the New Dynamic Forum inaugurated and expressed confidence in its role in future political outcomes.
