Oborevwori Celebrates Sobotie’s Life of Service
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Engr. Omeni Sobotie, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The governor described Sobotie as a distinguished statesman and community leader whose years of service have contributed to the political development of Delta State.
In a goodwill message issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Oborevwori commended the Agbarho-born politician for his commitment to public service and his contributions to the growth of democracy.
A Record of Political Engagement
Oborevwori said Sobotie had remained an important voice in the political evolution of Delta State and the country.
According to him, the former APC chairman brought experience, maturity and dedication to political engagement over the years. He added that Sobotie’s contributions to public discourse had earned him respect across political lines.
The governor noted that political differences should not erase recognition for individuals who have devoted years to the development of their communities and the democratic process.
Governor Offers Goodwill
Oborevwori said Sobotie’s birth anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on his years of service and contributions to society.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate Engr. Omeni Sobotie on the occasion of his birth anniversary,” the governor said.
He stated that the APC chieftain had reason to look back with gratitude on a life marked by service, sacrifice and participation in the development of Delta State and Nigeria.
The governor also praised Sobotie’s commitment to the political advancement of the people and his contributions to democratic development.
Wishes for Continued Service
Oborevwori prayed for God to grant the former state APC chairman continued good health, wisdom and strength.
He expressed hope that Sobotie would continue to contribute to the progress of Delta State and Nigeria.
The governor also wished him more years of fulfilment, peace and continued relevance in service to humanity.
