Oborevwori Sees Hope Ahead
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged Nigerians to remain united and steadfast as the country pursues ongoing reforms aimed at achieving sustainable development and economic prosperity.
Oborevwori made the call in his Independence Day message, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, as Nigeria marked its 66th Independence Anniversary.
The governor said the country had reasons to remain hopeful, stressing that sustained commitment to current reform efforts could help create better prospects for citizens.
“There is hope on the horizon and brighter days ahead,” he said.
Call for Continuity & Stability
Oborevwori also urged Deltans to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, alongside his administration’s MORE Agenda.
According to him, continuity and stability in governance remain important to the implementation of policies designed to deliver lasting development.
He therefore called on citizens to remain patient and resilient while the country works through its current economic and developmental challenges.
Delta’s Development Efforts
The governor said his administration was complementing federal initiatives through investments in infrastructure, renewable energy and employment creation.
He added that the state was also pursuing measures aimed at attracting foreign direct investment and expanding economic opportunities for residents.
Oborevwori maintained that these initiatives formed part of his administration’s broader effort to improve living standards and strengthen the state’s development base.
Renewed Commitment to Inclusive Governance
Beyond infrastructure and economic investment, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance in Delta State.
He pledged that his administration would continue implementing programmes and policies designed to improve the welfare of residents while creating greater opportunities across the state.
As Nigeria marked 66 years of independence, Oborevwori congratulated citizens and urged them to remain hopeful and united.
He said continued commitment to the Nigerian project remained essential to building a more prosperous future.
