Model Schools: Delta Opens ₦4,000 Supplementary Entrance Forms

THE Delta State Ministry of Secondary Education has commenced the sale of forms for the 2026 Supplementary Model Schools Entrance Examination.
The supplementary exercise targets qualified candidates who did not gain admission during the main 2026 entrance examination.
With the new opportunity, affected candidates can apply for another chance to secure admission into Delta State’s model schools.
Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, called on parents, guardians and prospective candidates to register promptly.
He urged them to complete the process within the approved registration period.
The ministry pegged the cost of the form at ₦4,000. It will remit ₦3,700 to the Ministry of Secondary Education, while ₦300 will remain with the point of sale.
At the same time, Permanent Secretary Dr. Henry Akambe instructed ministry officials to make the registration process smooth and transparent.
He further asked parents and candidates to comply with all approved registration guidelines.
The supplementary examination will hold on Saturday 3 October 2026, according to Akambe.
He also advised candidates to prepare properly for the test.
Similarly, Director of Examinations and Standards Mrs. Clementina Ojumah directed relevant officers to obtain the scratch cards needed for registration from the Department of Examinations and Standards.
She also urged stakeholders to publicise the exercise widely.
According to Ojumah, wider awareness will ensure that eligible candidates and their parents receive the information they need before registration closes.
The supplementary examination thus gives candidates who were unsuccessful in the main admission exercise another opportunity to compete for places in Delta’s model schools.
