Govt Hospital, Owhelogbo Cries Out For Help!
OWHELOGBO, Delta State, where a former Secretary to State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay, hails from, has its General Hospital, in a sordid state. It was recalled that when Macaulay was SSG, Owhelogbo was an epicentre of Isoko politics and all roads led to the town, but today, it is a shadow of its former self, although Macaulay is serving in the Okowa administration and remains a power broker in the state. But many said that the politician has seen better days, while there were others who questioned his political relevance, using the pathetic state of the health facility in his hometown as a reference point.
A source insisted that something urgently needs to be done by the Delta State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), to revamp the hospital, so as to save the indigenes from their present ordeal, occasioned by the poor state of the Owhelogbo Hospital.
