Ghana’s Black Sharks Raise Tempo Ahead Of Nigeria Beach Soccer Battle

By FRED LONGJOHN OBEH
GHANA’S Beach Soccer national team, the Black Sharks, have intensified preparations for their two-legged Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Nigeria.
The Ghanaian side is working to sharpen its squad and tactics ahead of the West African showdown. Meanwhile, both teams are chasing a place at the continental tournament.
Nigeria will host the first leg in Kaduna on 10 October. Eight days later, Ghana will welcome the Nigerian side to Keta for the return fixture on 18 October.
Consequently, the Black Sharks are expected to maintain their training programme as the opening match draws closer. The team will use the sessions to improve coordination and fine-tune its approach.
Nigeria, meanwhile, will have home advantage in the first encounter. Ghana will then seek to use the second leg to settle the tie on home sand.
With qualification at stake, both matches carry significant importance. Moreover, the two West African rivals will have little room for mistakes across the 180-minute contest.
For the Black Sharks, the immediate focus remains on preparation. Ghana must build enough consistency and discipline to withstand Nigeria’s challenge in Kaduna before turning attention to the decisive return leg in Keta.
