THE Delta State Ministry of Economic Planning, in partnership with Universal Investment and Development Company (UIDC) Ltd, has trained selected civil servants on data analysis and visualisation to enhance evidence-based decision-making.
Declaring the workshop open in Asaba, Commissioner for Economic Planning Mr. Sonny Ekedayen described data as “the new oil” driving modern governance, urging participants to apply digital tools for better policy outcomes.
UIDC’s Head of Corporate Strategy, Dr. Timothy Igbinosa, stressed the need for public servants to embrace digital transformation, noting that the training aims to bridge gaps between traditional practices and modern data methods.
The workshop featured practical sessions on data handling and ICT skills to strengthen service delivery and align with the state’s MORE Agenda for smarter governance.
