Dangote Refinery Halts Petrol Sales In Naira From 28 September

DANGOTE Petroleum Refinery will suspend petrol sales in naira starting Sunday 28 September 2025, after exceeding its crude allocations for local currency transactions.

In a statement, the company said it could no longer sustain naira-denominated sales of PMS. Customers who already paid in naira have been advised to apply for refunds.

The refinery added that updates on when naira sales would resume would be communicated to stakeholders.
