AS part of the Nigeria@65 Independence Golf Tournament, two enthusiasts have donated new facilities to the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club (TYB-IGRCC), Abuja.
The donations include a Back Nine Starter shed by Brig.-Gen. Mustapha Onoyiveta (rtd.) and a Halfway House by businessman Chief Samuel Ayanmele. The club also unveiled a new golf bay and practice range, commissioned by former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya (rtd).
Yahaya praised the gesture as a boost to golf development and military-civilian collaboration.
The week-long tournament, featuring over 400 golfers including 100 women, will climax on 1st October with the Independence Day main event and award ceremony.
