THE Federal Government will roll out the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Nigerian Data Exchange (NGDX) platforms in early 2026 to boost governance, service delivery, and economic growth.
NITDA’s Director of E-Government and Digital Economy, Dr. Salisu Kaka, said the platforms—designed to be secure, interoperable, and inclusive—will build on existing systems like national IDs and payment platforms.
He noted that foundational elements would be completed by year-end, with sector-wide use cases to follow in 2026.
Stakeholders, including NIPOST, NDPC, and NIGCOMSAT, highlighted opportunities in digital addressing, financial inclusion, and satellite coverage, stressing the need for trust, strong data protection, and collaboration with states.
The initiative is expected to expand digital access nationwide and accelerate Nigeria’s digital economy.
