Oborevwori Celebrates Zenith Bank Founder Jim Ovia @75, Hails His Legacy Of Innovation
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Founder of Zenith Bank Plc, Dr. Jim Ovia, CFR, on his 75th birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria’s banking industry and national development.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described Ovia as a visionary entrepreneur whose leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence have helped transform the country’s financial sector.
Oborevwori also recognised the Agbor-born business leader’s investments in education, entrepreneurship and security. In addition, he commended Ovia’s philanthropic efforts to empower young people and create opportunities for individuals and institutions.
The governor noted that Ovia’s career and achievements had brought honour to Delta State and Nigeria. Moreover, he said the businessman’s enduring contributions continued to inspire generations of entrepreneurs and professionals.
In his birthday message, Oborevwori said: “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate our dear elder statesman, Dr. Jim Ovia, CFR, on the occasion of his 75th birth anniversary on 4 November.
“Dr. Jim Ovia is a quintessential entrepreneur whose foresight and leadership have not only transformed Nigeria’s banking sector but also empowered countless individuals and institutions.”
Furthermore, Oborevwori described Ovia as a worthy ambassador of Delta State, noting that his commitment to building enduring institutions and creating opportunities for others deserved recognition.
The governor joined the celebrant’s family, friends and associates in marking the milestone. He also prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, long life and wisdom for Ovia as he contributes further to Nigeria’s growth and development.
