Water Returns To Abuja Districts As FCT Board Completes Repairs

THE Federal Capital Territory Water Board has restored potable water supply to Wuse 1, Wuse 2, Wuye and Maitama after completing emergency repairs on a major trunk line.
The agency said the restoration followed the successful completion of maintenance work carried out by its engineers to prevent a larger system failure.
The board’s spokesperson, Umar Ako, said the repairs secured a more reliable water supply for the affected districts and other parts of the FCT.
He thanked residents for their patience during the temporary disruption.
He acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the outage and praised customers for their cooperation while engineers worked to resolve the problem.
Ako said the board remains committed to efficient service delivery.
He said quick responses to pipe bursts, leakages and other technical faults remain a top priority.
The board also urged customers to pay their water bills promptly.
It said regular payments would support maintenance, daily operations and uninterrupted water supply across the territory.
