Oborevwori Hails Orodje At 20 Years On Throne

Governor Praises Monarch’s Leadership and Cultural Legacy
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has paid glowing tribute to the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd.), CFR, ORHUE I, as the revered monarch marks 20 years on the throne of his ancestors.
The governor described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the history of Okpe Kingdom. He said the monarch had built a legacy founded on peace, stability and service to his people.
According to a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary Sir Festus Ahon, the governor commended the Orodje for providing steady leadership and for fostering unity within the kingdom. He also praised the monarch’s role in strengthening traditional institutions and promoting cultural heritage across Delta State.
Governor Oborevwori said the Orodje’s contributions extend beyond Okpe Kingdom through his leadership of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council. He noted that the monarch had remained a respected voice in supporting peaceful conflict resolution, community development and collaboration between traditional institutions and government.
The governor thanked the royal father for his fatherly guidance and wise counsel over the years. He said the administration valued the support of traditional rulers in promoting security, development and social harmony across the state.
Oborevwori wished the monarch many more years of fruitful service, good health and a peaceful reign. He also congratulated the people of Okpe Kingdom, the Urhobo nation and admirers of the royal father, urging them to continue supporting his efforts to build a stronger and more prosperous kingdom.
