Asagba Executive Council Reviews Palace Reforms, Community Development

THE Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, has chaired the latest meeting of the Asagba Executive Council at the Permanent Asagba Palace. The regular session provided an opportunity for council members to assess palace affairs and review ongoing projects aimed at improving the welfare and development of Asaba Kingdom.
Among the major highlights of the meeting was the submission of a report on the proposed reformation of the Iyase and Odogwu stools. Chief Augustine Ndili, Onye Udo Ahaba, presented the document on behalf of the committee. The report outlined measures intended to strengthen traditional leadership structures, preserve long-standing customs and reinforce unity within the kingdom.
The Asagba praised the committee for its dedication and thoughtful work. He assured members that the report would undergo thorough consideration before the palace takes further action. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that any reforms align with the traditions and aspirations of the Asaba people.
The monarch reaffirmed his determination to modernize traditional governance without compromising the kingdom’s cultural identity. He said the palace would continue to promote transparency, unity and inclusive leadership while safeguarding the customs that define Ani Ahaba.
The meeting was attended by members of the Asagba Executive Council and palace chiefs, who reaffirmed their collective commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the institution of the traditional monarchy and promote the continued growth of Asaba Kingdom.
