Tinubu Expresses Solidarity With Gulf States Amid US-Israel-Iran Tensions

Tinubu Voices Support for Gulf Nations
PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has expressed Nigeria’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries affected by attacks linked to the wider conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
The president said Nigeria stands for peace, stability and international cooperation, stressing the need for calm amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
He made the remarks at the State House in Abuja while receiving Letters of Credence from newly appointed ambassadors and high commissioners.
Call for Peace and Stability
Addressing the envoys, Tinubu commended Gulf nations for what he described as resilience and restraint during a difficult period.
He said Nigeria supports efforts aimed at restoring tranquillity and peaceful coexistence across the region and globally.
According to him, the world urgently needs peace, mutual respect and cooperation among nations.
Nigeria Seeks Stronger Bilateral Relations
The president also reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties with countries represented by the visiting envoys.
He described Nigeria as a strategic partner open to investment, innovation and mutually beneficial collaboration.
Tinubu said his administration’s economic reforms are designed to position the country as a globally competitive destination for business and sustainable growth.
Regional Security and Global Challenges
He further noted that Nigeria remains committed to ECOWAS principles, regional integration and the stabilisation of the Sahel.
The president said issues such as climate change, terrorism, shifting global power dynamics and financial inequality require collective international action.
On behalf of the visiting diplomats, the Ambassador of Qatar pledged continued cooperation and stronger relations with Nigeria.
