‘No Child Should Be Left Behind’ — Tobore Oborevwori Takes Healthcare Outreach to Ndokwa
Foundation Extends Medical Intervention to Seventh Constituency
WIFE of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has taken the Foundation’s free medical outreach to Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
The outreach, held on Thursday 13 August 2026, focused on bringing healthcare closer to residents while drawing attention to children living with autism and other special needs.
Oborevwori said Ndokwa was the seventh Federal Constituency reached by the Foundation during the current phase of its medical intervention.
Previous outreaches covered Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie, Ethiope, Ughelli/Udu, Isoko and Ika Federal Constituencies.
According to her, the Foundation has reached more than 740 children, alongside adults and elderly residents, through its medical and humanitarian interventions.
She stressed that the figures represented real people and families who had received care, support and renewed hope.
Focus on Children With Special Needs
Oborevwori said the Foundation would continue to advocate for children living with autism and other special needs.
She noted that several families encountered during the outreaches struggled to access healthcare and specialised support for their children.
The First Lady urged communities to embrace inclusion, acceptance and compassion.
She said every child should have the opportunity to grow, learn and live a healthy and fulfilling life, regardless of physical or developmental challenges.
Medical personnel at the Ndokwa outreach provided consultations, examinations, medications and other healthcare services to beneficiaries.
Oborevwori thanked the chairmen of the three local government areas in the constituency and their wives for supporting the programme.
She also appreciated the Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, and the medical team for their commitment to residents’ wellbeing.
Local Government Welcomes Intervention
Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Hon. Obi Nzete, described the outreach as an initiative that demonstrated the importance of putting humanity at the centre of leadership.
Nzete said every family and child deserved access to quality healthcare.
He urged leaders to create conditions where vulnerable residents would not be neglected.
The chairman also pledged the local government’s cooperation with the state government and other partners to improve healthcare and social welfare in Ndokwa.
More Support for Vulnerable Residents
Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, commended Oborevwori for prioritising children with special needs.
He said the intervention would help affected children access better healthcare, learn, grow and integrate more effectively into society.
Commissioner for Finance, Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, also praised the Foundation’s humanitarian activities.
Tilije pledged ₦20 million to support the Foundation’s healthcare and humanitarian programmes.
He said the people of Ukwuani would continue to appreciate Oborevwori’s efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable residents.
A major highlight of the outreach was the presentation of 30 wheelchairs to people living with mobility challenges.
The donation further expanded the Foundation’s support for residents requiring mobility assistance.
