Tinubu: No Faith Or Community Under Siege In Nigeria
By NJORIGE LYNUS
PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has rejected claims of religious persecution in Nigeria, insisting that no faith or community is under threat.
Speaking in Owerri, Imo State, at the launch of a book by Governor Hope Uzodimma and the commissioning of key projects, Tinubu said Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity.
“Our churches, mosques, and traditional shrines stand side by side, not as rivals, but as symbols of unity,” he said, stressing that outsiders cannot dictate Nigeria’s identity.
The President also highlighted progress made under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in governance, infrastructure, security, and accountability, cautioning against a return to the “wasted years of drift.”
The event drew APC leaders, governors, lawmakers, diplomats, and religious leaders.
