The award was presented during CAN’s 50th anniversary celebration at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, in recognition of the governor’s leadership, ethical conduct, commitment to public service and adherence to Christian values.
Lawmaker Welcomes Recognition
Ukodhiko, who attended the ceremony alongside the governor, described the honour as well-deserved. He said the recognition by the country’s foremost Christian umbrella body highlighted the importance of integrity, principled leadership and service to humanity.
In his congratulatory message, the lawmaker conveyed his goodwill on behalf of his family and the people of Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency. He also expressed satisfaction with the recognition accorded to the Delta governor.
Call for Greater Commitment to Delta’s Development
Beyond celebrating the award, Ukodhiko urged Oborevwori to use the recognition as encouragement to strengthen his commitment to the peace, progress and development of Delta State.
He expressed confidence that the honour would further inspire the governor to sustain his service to the state and its residents.
The lawmaker subsequently wished Oborevwori continued success in the discharge of his responsibilities, emphasising the importance of maintaining a strong commitment to public service and the welfare of the people.
The recognition comes as a reminder of the expectations that accompany public office, particularly the need for leaders to translate their stated values into policies and actions that improve citizens’ lives.
