Oborevwori Marks Eid-Ul-Mawlid With Call For Tolerance & Unity

DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on Muslims to draw fresh inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid.
The celebration commemorates the birth of the Prophet and remains an important period of reflection for Muslims across Nigeria and other parts of the world.
In a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Oborevwori congratulated Muslim faithful in Delta State and across the country.
He urged them to reflect on the principles that defined the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
The Governor said compassion, humility, sacrifice and service to humanity should remain powerful guides for building peaceful communities.
He also stressed the importance of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in a diverse country such as Nigeria.
According to Oborevwori, citizens must continue to embrace one another despite differences in religion, ethnicity or political affiliation.
He said lasting development can only thrive where peace, unity and mutual respect prevail.
The Governor consequently encouraged Muslims to use the Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration to strengthen their commitment to love, understanding and the collective advancement of society.
Oborevwori reaffirmed that his administration would continue to promote inclusion and equal opportunities across Delta State.
He said every resident should have the freedom to pursue legitimate aspirations in an environment of peace, security and dignity.
The Governor also appealed to the Muslim community to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening peace and development in the state.
He expressed optimism that greater cooperation among Deltans would further advance the state’s progress and prosperity.
Oborevwori prayed for sustained peace and stability in Delta State and Nigeria.
He then wished Muslims a joyful, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
