Nigeria’s D’Tigress Slip In FIBA World Cup Rankings

NIGERIA’S senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have dropped two places to 10th in the latest FIBA Women’s World Cup Power Rankings.

The Nigerian team previously occupied eighth position. However, the latest assessment places them two spots lower ahead of the tournament.

The United States retain the top position. France and Spain follow in second and third places.

Belgium rank fourth, while Australia occupy fifth. China are sixth, with Germany seventh and Japan eighth.

Italy have moved into ninth place. Nigeria complete the top 10.

Despite the drop, D’Tigress remain the only African team among the leading 10 contenders.

The ranking provides an indication of the teams expected to challenge for the title when the FIBA Women’s World Cup gets underway.
