The teams will fly the Nigerian flag at the continental competition and face some of Africa’s top beach volleyball sides.
The championship presents a major test for the Nigerian players. It will also give them the chance to measure their strength against high-level opponents and compete for continental honours.
Attention will now shift to preparations and the matches ahead. Every game could prove crucial as the teams attempt to make an impact in a competitive African field.
Nigeria will hope its players can rise to the challenge and produce performances capable of pushing both teams deep into the championship.
As the action begins in Alexandria, the men’s and women’s teams will carry the country’s ambitions onto the sand, with continental pride and sporting glory firmly in sight.
