NELFUND Opens Student Loan Portal For 2025/26 Academic Session

THE Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the opening of its student loan application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session, from 23 October 2025 to 31 January 2026.

In a statement on Tuesday, NELFUND urged fresh students to apply using their Admission Number or JAMB Registration Number and advised institutions to be flexible with registration and fee deadlines for applicants awaiting loan disbursement.

It also directed schools to update and upload verified student records—both new and returning—on the NELFUND Student Verification Portal, a key requirement for processing loan applications.

Institutions yet to begin the new session are to submit their approved academic calendars to NELFUND for scheduling adjustments.
