Asaba Palace Event Centre: Asagba Azinge Reviews Progress, Pledges Support For Completion

THE Asagba of Asaba, HRM Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, KSJI, KSG, has inspected the progress of work at the Permanent Palace Event Centre in Asaba.
The monarch visited the project site on Tuesday 8 September 2026, to assess the level of work and reaffirm the Palace’s commitment to completing the facility.
The project forms part of efforts to provide Asaba Kingdom with a modern centre for cultural, social and economic activities.
During the inspection, Asagba Azinge commended Engr. Kenneth Azinge and the project team for the progress recorded so far.
He described the event centre as an important project for the people of Asaba.
According to the monarch, the facility represents a legacy that should serve present and future generations.
He said the Palace would continue to provide the necessary support to ensure the project reaches completion.
“We are not relenting in giving our best to make it a laudable centre that every Asaba son and daughter will be proud of,” he said.
Asagba Azinge also stressed the need to deliver the project to international standards.
He assured the project team of the Palace’s continued mobilisation of resources and support.
When completed, the Permanent Palace Event Centre will host royal functions, cultural festivals and community engagements.
It will also provide space for socio-economic activities within Asaba Kingdom.
The Palace said the facility is expected to become a major centre for events and cultural activities in the kingdom.
