THE Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has praised the National Sports Commission (NSC) for its bold effort in bidding to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, describing it as a milestone for Nigeria’s sporting development.
Although India won the hosting rights, ANFASSC said Nigeria’s participation signaled growing confidence and global recognition of the country’s sporting potential.
ANFASSC President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, commended NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko and Director-General Hon. Bukola Olopade for their visionary leadership, noting that the bid showcased Nigeria’s readiness to compete internationally and foster unity through sports.
He added that the process marked the beginning of a new era for Nigerian sports, inspiring hope among youth and reaffirming the nation’s place in the global sporting community.
