Urgent Call For Justice: Delta Government, Police Urged To Investigate Gruesome Murder Port Harcourt Lawyer, Innocent Ighovwarua
THE National President of Niger Delta Youth For Good Governance, Comr. Lucky O. O. Ukueku, has issued a passionate appeal to the Delta State Government and the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the brutal murder of Barr Innocent Ighovwarua, which occurred on 12 August 2025, in Ughelli, Delta State.
According to Comr. Ukueku, the deceased was invited by prime suspects from Port Harcourt, with whom he had a transaction involving recovery of loan of his Client (Church Member) and had previously been threatened. The alleged perpetrator has been arrested and taken to the Delta State police headquarters.
Comr. Ukueku’s Statement: “I commend the Delta State Commissioner of Police for his swift intervention and action. I also appreciate all who are making effort to see that Barr. Innocent Ighovwarua get justice. I urge the Delta State Commission of Police to continue their diligent work, and we expect justice to prevail in this matter.

“Barr Innocent Ighovwarua, a first-class graduate from Edwin Clark University Kiagbodo Delta State, was a promising young lawyer who had already begun practicing in Port Harcourt and processing his Master’s degree. His untimely demise has left his elderly parents and ailing mother in immense grief. Comr. Ukueku demands that justice be served in this case, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to book.
