CIBN/Bankers’ Forum, Delta State Branch Holds Discourse On “Financial Inclusion, Economic Devt In Nigeria” Tomorrow Saturday Dec. 16 @ Springhill Hotel, Asaba
THE Chartered Institute of Bankers’ of Nigeria (CIBN)/Bankers’ Forum, Delta State Branch, is set to provoke a fresh discourse on the economy, during this year’s Delta State Annual CIBN Seminar/Bankers’ Forum Dinner holding at Springhill Hotel, along DBS Road, Asaba. Activities include CIBN Delta State Branch AGM and elections by 10am, seminar by 12noon and dinner by 5pm.
The host, Chairman of CIBN, Delta State Branch, Charles Ojakovo, said it is the third of the CIBN annual seminar in Delta State and promises to be a robust and enlightening discourse that will chart the way forward for the banking industry and the Nigerian economy at large, with the theme: “Financial Inclusion and Economic Development in Nigeria”, as well as “Professional Ethics and Leadership in the Banking Industry.”
The occasion will be chaired by the Branch Controller, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Asaba, Dr. Godwin Okafor. Ojakovo said the topic will be handled by experts in the profession and the economy at large, holding Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Springhill Hotel, along DBS Road, Asaba.
Towards a robust discourse that will set agenda for policy makers at all levels of governance, Ojakovo said that erudite personalities have been selected to deliberate on the theme of the seminar as guest speakers, Nnamdi Ndu of Kings Class Consulting and Engr. Jude Mgbeze who is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, while the Special Guests of honour are Dr. Ken Opara, President/Chairman of Council, The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria as well as an accomplished banker, Dr. Kingsley Emu, Secretary to Delta State Government (SSG). CIBN, Delta State Branch added that to further spice the occasion, it will have as guest of honour, the Registrar/Chief Executive of the CIBN, Mr. Akin Morakinyo.
