NAF Recruitment: Applications Open 3rd September As Air Force Lists Eligibility Rules

THE Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced its 2026 recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians seeking to join the service as Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women.
The recruitment is being conducted under the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026.
Online registration will begin on 3 September 2026 and close on 14 October 2026.
Application Requirements
The NAF said applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth. They must also be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
Male applicants must be at least 1.66 metres tall. Female applicants must measure at least 1.63 metres.
Applicants must also have no previous criminal conviction.
Age Limits for Applicants
Tradesmen/Women applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old by 1st March 2027.
For Non-Tradesmen/Women, applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old by the same date.
Requirements for Tradesmen/Women
Candidates seeking Tradesmen/Women positions with ND or NCE qualifications must possess at least a lower credit.
They must also have five relevant credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
Applicants for trades requiring Trade Tests must provide the relevant certificates.
Meanwhile, candidates applying as drivers must possess a valid driving licence.
Requirements for Non-Tradesmen/Women
Non-Tradesmen/Women applicants must have at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
They must also provide Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.
Aptitude Test and Selection
The NAF said successful applicants will be invited for a Zonal General Aptitude Test.
The date of the test will be announced through the recruitment portal.
Only candidates who pass the aptitude test will proceed to the selection interview.
Application Is Free
The Air Force stressed that the recruitment exercise is free of charge.
It advised applicants to carefully review the requirements before submitting their applications.
The service also warned candidates against paying anyone who claims to have the ability to secure recruitment slots.
Prospective applicants are expected to use only the official NAF recruitment portal for the exercise.
