Oborevwori Approves Financial Support For 533 Delta Law School Graduates
State Government Extends Support to Newly Qualified Lawyers
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved financial assistance for 533 indigenes of the state who successfully completed their studies at the Nigerian Law School during the 2025 academic session, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to human capital development and professional advancement.
The approval was announced in a public notice issued by the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, which described the initiative as part of the government’s efforts to support young professionals as they transition into legal practice.
The intervention is expected to ease some of the financial pressures associated with entering the legal profession while encouraging continued investment in education and skills development.
Board Releases Application Guidelines
According to the notice published in The Pointer newspaper, eligible beneficiaries are required to submit relevant documents electronically between 23 & 29 July 2026, to facilitate the verification and disbursement process.
The Board directed applicants to provide copies of their admission letter to the Nigerian Law School, Certificate of Call to the Bar, valid means of identification, Local Government identification and bank account details.
All required documents are to be scanned and forwarded to the Board’s official email address [dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng] within the stipulated period.
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, who signed the notice, urged beneficiaries to comply fully with the requirements to avoid delays in processing their applications.

The financial assistance forms part of Governor Oborevwori’s broader M.O.R.E. Agenda, which places emphasis on expanding educational opportunities, developing skilled manpower and empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to the state’s socio-economic development.
By supporting newly qualified lawyers, the state government aims to reduce entry barriers into professional practice while encouraging excellence among Delta students pursuing careers in law and other specialised fields.
