Oborevwori Inspects Isoko Projects, Seeks APC Support Ahead Of 2027

Oborevwori Links Development Projects to 2027 Electoral Support
Governor Tours Strategic Projects in Isoko Nation
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on the people of Isoko Nation to support candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying the administration’s extensive investments in infrastructure, healthcare and education deserve electoral reciprocation.
The governor made the appeal during an inspection of ongoing and completed government projects at the College of Health Technology in Ovrode and the Ozoro Modern Market in Isoko North Local Government Area.
According to him, the state government has ensured that developmental projects are spread across the three senatorial districts and all 25 local government areas under the M.O.R.E. Agenda, with Isoko Nation benefiting significantly from the administration’s infrastructure drive.
Appeal for Electoral Support
Addressing stakeholders during the inspection, Oborevwori said residents should demonstrate appreciation for the projects by supporting APC candidates in future elections.
He maintained that his administration had delivered visible projects in roads, education and healthcare across the state, insisting that continued political support would strengthen ongoing development efforts.
The governor noted that governance should be assessed through tangible projects rather than political rhetoric, stressing that communities now have visible evidence of government interventions.
Projects Undergo Quality Assessment
Oborevwori explained that project inspections remain an important part of his administration’s quality assurance process before commissioning.
Although he expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the College of Health Technology, Ovrode, he directed that outstanding landscaping and finishing works be completed before the facility is officially inaugurated.
He described the institution as one of the state’s flagship educational investments, adding that government also approved and completed an access road to improve movement to and from the campus.
According to him, both the road and the college would be commissioned together after all corrective works are completed.
Ozoro Market Ready for Commissioning
The governor also inspected the Ozoro Modern Market, declaring the facility ready for inauguration after expressing satisfaction with the quality of construction.
He observed that the state government was investing beyond road infrastructure by expanding facilities in education, healthcare and commerce to stimulate economic growth across communities.
Oborevwori noted that while many projects receive little publicity, residents who visit project locations can easily appreciate the scale of development taking place across Delta State.
He also recalled that major investments had recently been completed at Southern Delta University, Ozoro, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to balanced development.
Contractor Raises Security Concerns
Speaking during the visit, contractor Chief Iduh Amadhe disclosed that the market complex had been completed since last year but was awaiting formal commissioning.
He said the modern market comprises 192 open stalls, 28 lock-up shops, eight warehouses, 16 modern toilet facilities, water infrastructure, four fire points, administrative offices, meeting halls for market associations and two security posts.
Amadhe, however, revealed that repeated acts of vandalism had forced the contractor to spend approximately ₦3.2 million on repairs after three separate attacks on the facility.
He appealed to the Delta State Government to strengthen security around the market to protect the investment and ensure smooth operations once traders begin occupying the complex.
