DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated renowned industrialist and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UTM FLNG Limited, Mr. Julius Rone, OFR, on his 52nd birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished indigenous entrepreneurs.
In a congratulatory message issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor praised Rone’s outstanding achievements in the oil and gas sector, noting that his leadership has continued to project Delta State and Nigeria positively on the global energy stage.

The governor highlighted Rone’s role in promoting Nigeria’s first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project through UTM FLNG Limited, describing the initiative as a landmark achievement in the nation’s drive to expand its gas industry.
Widely known as “The Gas King,” Rone has earned recognition for championing investments aimed at unlocking Nigeria’s abundant natural gas resources while supporting industrial development.
Oborevwori said the project represents a significant contribution to the country’s energy future and demonstrates the growing capacity of indigenous companies to execute world-class projects.
