Delta Health College Opens Admissions For 2026/2027 Session

Admissions Begin for New Academic Session
THE Delta State College of Health Technology, Ovrode, has officially commenced admissions into its National Diploma (ND), Diploma and Certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session, offering aspiring healthcare professionals an opportunity to pursue careers in various medical and health-related disciplines.
The admission exercise was announced in a public notice issued by the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Daniel E. Orakpor, who invited qualified candidates to apply for programmes designed to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare personnel across Nigeria.
Established by the Delta State Government in 2025, the college was created to strengthen healthcare delivery by training middle-level professionals capable of serving in primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions.
Wide Range of Health Programmes Available
The institution disclosed that several National Diploma programmes are available for admission. These include Community Health Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Paramedics Technology, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dispensing Opticianry, Dental Therapy, Environmental Health Technology and Public Health Technology.
In addition, Diploma programmes are offered in Community Health Extension Worker, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Dispensing Opticianry and Health Information Management.
The college also provides Certificate programmes in Junior Community Health Extension Worker, Physiotherapy, Health Care Giving, Health Assistance and Occupational Therapy.
According to management, the programmes are structured to equip students with practical and professional skills needed in the healthcare sector.
Admission Requirements Outlined
Candidates seeking admission into the National Diploma programmes may apply either with or without JAMB, provided they possess the required academic qualifications.
Applicants are expected to have five credit passes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or GCE examinations.
For Diploma programmes, candidates must possess five relevant O’Level credits in science-related subjects, while Certificate programme applicants are required to have at least three O’Level credits, including Biology, Mathematics and English Language.
Entrance Examination Scheduled
The college announced that all applications must be completed online through its admission portal upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₦15,500.
Management further revealed that an entrance examination for prospective candidates has been fixed for 24 August 2026, at the institution’s campus in Ovrode, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Applicants have also been advised not to bring mobile phones, smartwatches or other prohibited devices into the examination venue.
