Oborevwori Names Adolor Delta Coordinator For ‘Made In Nigeria’ Drive

New Leadership for Economic Initiative in Delta
IN a move aimed at reinforcing local economic development, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has appointed Dr. Godwin Adolor as the state coordinator of the Made in Nigeria Project.
The initiative, domiciled in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), seeks to drive nationwide support for locally produced goods and services.
Dr. Adolor combines this new responsibility with his current role as Executive Secretary and CEO of the Delta State Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA).
Nationwide Coordination Framework
The appointment coincides with the official inauguration of coordinators across all 36 states, held at the Government House in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The event, led by SGF Senator George Akume and hosted by Governor Abdullahi Sule, marked the formal rollout of the initiative across the federation.
Driving Economic Growth Through Local Content
The Made in Nigeria Project is focused on boosting domestic production, encouraging consumption of Nigerian-made products, and creating a more resilient national economy.
By prioritising local industries, the programme aims to stimulate job creation, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and reduce reliance on imports.
Stakeholder Collaboration Key to Success
Reacting to his appointment, Dr. Adolor thanked Governor Oborevwori for the opportunity to serve, pledging to deliver on the mandate of the initiative.
He emphasised the importance of engaging key stakeholders across sectors to ensure the successful implementation of the project in Delta State and contribute meaningfully to national economic transformation.
