Security Breach Forces Trump Exit At Correspondents’ Dinner

Trump Escorted Out After Shooting Scare
PRESIDENT Donald Trump was rushed out of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after shots were fired outside the ballroom hosting the annual event in Washington, D.C. Officials later confirmed he was safe.
The dinner, attended by political leaders, journalists and celebrities, descended into confusion as guests ducked for cover while armed security officers moved into position.
Heavy Security Presence After Incident
Authorities said the suspect charged a Secret Service checkpoint before opening fire. Security personnel quickly overpowered the attacker and placed him under arrest.
An officer was injured during the confrontation but survived because of protective gear, according to officials. Emergency teams later secured the area while investigators searched for evidence.
Renewed Questions Over Public Event Security
The shooting has renewed concerns about security at events involving senior public officials. The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is one of the most visible gatherings in the U.S. political calendar and often draws the president, cabinet members and media executives.
