Governor Felicitates Renowned Monarch
SHERIFF Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, has congratulated the Obi of Owa Kingdom, Emmanuel Efeizomor II, as the revered traditional ruler celebrates his 88th birth anniversary.
In a congratulatory message issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor described the monarch as one of the state’s most respected and accomplished traditional leaders whose influence has extended far beyond his kingdom.
Oborevwori commended the royal father for his enduring service to both Owa Kingdom and the wider Delta State community.
Tribute to a Respected Traditional Leader
According to the governor, Obi Efeizomor II has consistently demonstrated wisdom, commitment, and exemplary leadership throughout his reign.
He noted that the monarch’s guidance has played a crucial role in strengthening unity within the kingdom while also promoting the cultural identity of the Owa people.
Oborevwori praised the monarch for preserving the traditions and values of his people, describing him as a respected father figure and an inspiration to many across the state.
“His Royal Majesty has remained a pillar of stability and a voice of wisdom within the traditional institution,” the governor said.
Development Under the Monarch’s Reign
The governor also acknowledged the visible transformation witnessed in Owa Kingdom during the reign of Obi Efeizomor II.
According to him, the kingdom has experienced notable progress in infrastructure development and human capital advancement, factors that have contributed to the socio-economic growth of the community.
He noted that the monarch’s leadership has fostered cooperation between traditional authorities and government institutions in promoting development initiatives.
Service to the State’s Traditional Council
Oborevwori also highlighted the monarch’s contributions beyond his kingdom, particularly his role as the immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers.
The governor said Efeizomor II’s tenure in that position was characterized by humility, wisdom, and a commitment to peace among traditional institutions across the state.
He noted that the royal father played a significant role in promoting dialogue, unity, and mutual respect among traditional rulers.
