Oborevwori Hails Agas’ Enduring Contributions to Delta State
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as a leader whose legacy continues to shape the development of the state.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor praised Agas for his decades of dedicated service to Delta State and Nigeria, noting that his contributions across journalism, law and politics have left a lasting imprint on governance in the state.

Governor Oborevwori described Agas, who hails from Oteri-Ughelli, as a consummate public servant whose leadership at various levels was driven by competence, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to the people.
According to the governor, Agas’ journey through public service — as a journalist, legal practitioner, former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and later Secretary to the State Government — reflects a commitment to excellence and principled leadership.
