THE 4th edition of the Lagos Book Walk will take place in Amuwo-Odofin, Ojo area of Lagos, on Thursday 5 March 2026, with organisers aiming to deepen reading culture among children and families.
Organised by the Network of Book Clubs and Reading Culture Promoters in Nigeria (NBRP), the walk will kick off from Festac First Gate and end at Rockview Hotel, Festac Town, where exhibitions and interactive sessions will be held. The event begins at 7:00am.
According to NBRP, the Lagos Book Walk is more than a symbolic march, but a statement on the importance of books and collective responsibility in literacy development. Planned activities include children’s reading sessions, book gifting, sales, games and music.
The organisers also called on vendors, publishers, NGOs and education-focused brands to participate as exhibitors, noting that the event offers direct engagement with families, schools and educators in the community.
