GIANT Women in Media (GWIM) has called for stronger public awareness and improved communication between the Warri Palace and media professionals across the region. The appeal was made during a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, led by GWIM President, Ms. Clementina Olomu, alongside members and regional representatives.
During the visit, GWIM highlighted the importance of clear, consistent information flow from the palace, noting that enhanced engagement would help the public better understand the monarch’s initiatives and the kingdom’s development activities. Olomu praised the Olu for the wisdom and maturity reflected in the celebration of his fourth coronation anniversary, as well as the support of the Council of Chiefs present at the meeting.
She also commended the palace’s openness and welcoming atmosphere, describing it as a sign of progressive leadership. Olomu offered her media expertise as a contribution to the palace, stating that her admiration for the monarch’s achievements inspired her commitment to strengthening communication efforts.
She reaffirmed GWIM’s readiness to amplify information about the Olu’s programmes and milestones, ensuring that the Warri Kingdom’s activities receive broader visibility and understanding.
