PDP Issues Expulsion Certificates To Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, Others

By NJORIGE LYNUS
THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally issued certificates of expulsion to several high-profile members, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, and former National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, over alleged anti-party activities.
Others expelled include former National Organizing Secretary Umar Bature, former National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, former senator Mao Ohuabunwa, factional PDP BoT chairman Dan Orbih, Imo PDP Chairman Austine Nwachukwu, Abia PDP Chairman Amah Nnanna, and South-South Zonal Secretary Turnah George.
Their expulsions were first announced at the party’s National Convention in Ibadan on 15 November 2025.
Speaking to journalists after a three-hour meeting in Abuja, PDP National Chairman Tanimu Turaki said the issuance of certificates provides formal documentation that the affected individuals are no longer members of the party.
According to him, the certificates will allow them to join any political party of their choice without raising concerns about dual membership.
More details are expected soon.
