Tunisia Hold Brazil, Send Early AFCON Warning To Nigeria

TUNISIA issued a strong statement ahead of AFCON 2025 after holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw in Tuesday’s international friendly, a result that signals a tough challenge for group opponents Nigeria.
The Carthage Eagles stretched their unbeaten run to six matches, taking a surprise lead in the 23rd minute before Brazil equalised through Chelsea starlet Estevão from the penalty spot just before halftime.
Brazil had a late chance to win it, but Lucas Paquetá missed a 78th-minute penalty, allowing Tunisia to leave with a confidence-boosting draw.
With AFCON 2025 approaching, Tunisia’s form suggests a fiercely competitive group stage awaits the Super Eagles in Morocco.
